Clinical Depth,
Cultural Intelligence and Transformational Healing

Dr. Graciela Aires Rust is an Argentine-born American clinician, consultant, educator, artist, author, and keynote speaker who bridges evidence-based psychotherapy with integrative mind–body practice. She is the founder of Holistic Growth Integrative Counseling, PLLC, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she provides bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health counseling, organizational consulting, and experiential programs designed to strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, and embodied wellbeing. Her work is grounded in a clear conviction: sustainable change requires scientific rigor, cultural intelligence, creativity, and human warmth.

Before entering the mental health field, Dr. Graciela graduated in Accounting and later in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Argentina (Santa María de los Buenos Aires). She built a substantial career in multinational environments, including corporations such as Peugeot and Mary Kay. Working within complex organizational systems gave her firsthand understanding of executive pressure, intercultural communication, leadership dynamics, performance demands, and burnout. This corporate fluency now strengthens her ability to advise leaders and professionals who operate under constant demand while privately navigating stress, identity strain, and emotional fatigue.

After more than fifteen years in business, she chose a deliberate professional reinvention into counseling, rehabilitation, and holistic healing. In the United States, she completed graduate training integrating Clinical Mental Health Counseling with rehabilitation psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with dual-track preparation in psychiatric disabilities and developmental disabilities. She interned with the UNC Psychiatry Department at the Center for Women’s Mood Disorders, supporting clients through assessment, counseling, and evidence-informed interventions. Her academic inquiry explored complementary and alternative approaches for anxiety and depression, reflecting an early commitment to whole-person care.

She later earned a Doctor of Philosophy specializing in Holistic Life Counseling. This doctoral formation strengthened her philosophical and clinical framework: health is not limited to symptom reduction, but includes nervous-system regulation, relational repair, meaning-making, and restoration of agency. Dr. Graciela is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Additional credentials include Integrative Wellness and Life Coach, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui tradition, Alternative Medicine Practitioner, and multicultural consultant.

Clinically, she supports individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, grief, relational conflict, acculturation stress, and major life transitions. Her therapeutic style balances structure and compassion. She integrates evidence-based modalities with mindfulness-based interventions, somatic awareness, trauma-sensitive approaches, and self-compassion frameworks. When appropriate, she incorporates breathwork and gentle movement as complementary supports that help recalibrate the nervous system. She maintains strong ethical boundaries while creating spaces where clients feel deeply respected and empowered.

Dr. Graciela’s influence extends far beyond the therapy office. As a keynote speaker and conference presenter, she delivers experiences that combine intellectual clarity with emotional depth and practical application. She has presented nationally and internationally at professional conferences, multicultural leadership summits, Latino community gatherings, rehabilitation associations, women’s conferences, mind–body–spirit forums, and corporate wellness events. Her speaking topics include multicultural competence in diverse societies, immigrant identity and adaptation, complementary and alternative medicine in mental health, group cognitive behavioral approaches for Hispanic and Latino communities, bullying prevention, resilience building, and integrative leadership.

Selected keynote and workshop engagements include:

  • “Creating Positive Habits in School,” a bullying prevention program delivered to elementary students in Argentina;
  • “Essential Multicultural Competence Skills in the American Melting Pot,” presented at a Latin American Women’s Conference in the United States;
  • “Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Mental Health: Ethical, Professional, and Practical Considerations for Rehabilitation Counselors,” delivered at a statewide professional conference;
  •  “Group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Treating Depression in Hispanic and Latino Communities,” presented as a clinical poster session;
  • “Emotional Release Intensive,” an international workshop delivered in Munich, Germany;
  • “Living in Fullness,” an online experiential program; and
  • “Unlock Your Potential to Live Fully,” presented in Las Vegas.

For more than two decades, Dr. Graciela has designed and facilitated experiential workshops in both English and Spanish. She is the founder of Mind–Body–Spirit Belly Dance workshops, immersive experiences that use movement as a vehicle for empowerment, emotional integration, and embodied self-trust. Her facilitation emphasizes consent, adaptability, cultural respect, and embodiment rather than performance.

This embodied philosophy brought  in HolisticFlow®, her signature method and flagship offering. HolisticFlow® integrates conscious movement, breathwork, somatic awareness, emotional processing, curated music, and guided reflection. Often described as an internal gym, the method develops skills participants can carry into daily life: steadiness under pressure, emotional flexibility, relational clarity, and self-trust. HolisticFlow® is structured yet inclusive, suitable for conferences, retreats, corporate leadership events, wellness initiatives, and community gatherings. Organizations invite Dr. Graciela to deliver HolisticFlow® as keynote experience, interactive workshop, or multi-session program.

In addition, Dr. Graciela is an original composer and lyricist of inspirational and meditative music. She creates emotionally evocative soundscapes, spoken-word pieces, and lyrical compositions designed to support healing, embodiment, and spiritual awakening. Her music is independently produced under Holistic Growth Productions and forms an integral part of the HolisticFlow ecosystem.

Beyond clinical care and speaking, she provides consulting services for organizations seeking culturally responsive mental health programming, burnout prevention strategy, integrative wellness design, and leadership resilience frameworks. Her consulting bridges psychological insight with corporate fluency, translating complex emotional dynamics into practical systems that strengthen teams and communities.

Dr. Graciela is also a visual artist and author. Her painting practice serves as both pure artistic expression and an inspirational exploration of emotion, resilience, and healing. Through color, texture, and narrative symbolism, she creates works that invite reflection and emotional integration. As a writer, she has collaborated with La Noticia, a Spanish-language newspaper in North Carolina, contributing columns on mental health and wellbeing for Latino communities. She is also the author of A Colorful Garden / Un Jardín Colorido, a children’s book designed to foster multicultural competence, inclusion, and empathy from an early age.

At the heart of Dr. Graciela’s work is a testable belief: people thrive when they feel safe, respected, and empowered within their bodies and cultures. Whether offering psychotherapy, guiding HolisticFlow®, advising organizations, creating art, or delivering a keynote address, she combines precision with warmth and clarity with humanity.
